What should I know
about hotel categories (star rating)?
This is the highest standard of hotels available in Budapest and Hungary. These hotels offer the highest international standards of accommodation, facilities and cuisine. You can expect the following features:
4 Star hotels provide high standards of accommodation and food. These hotels can range from small townhouse type luxurious hotels to large International chain hotels, and they normally have the following facilities:
These hotels can vary from small family run hotels to large chain hotels. These hotels provide highly commendable accommodation and offer all basic amenities and facilities:
2 Star hotels are normally converted houses that are managed and run by the proprietor.
B&B's (Bed and Breakfasts) are normally small proprietor run converted houses. Standards and amenities are often of high quality. We have listed only B&Bs on our web site that we believe are suitable and familiar accommodation. They provide:
Suites and apartments are designed to provide a familiar atmosphere, whilst
away from home. They normally range from one to three bedrooms, with a separate
lounge area and bathroom, and sleep two people per room. Some suites and all
apartments also contain a kitchenette. We can also assist you in booking studio
suites and apartments. These are the same as above but do not have a separate
bedroom - all facilities, with the exception of the bathroom, are contained
within one room.

How to book a hotel
Once you have chosen which hotel you want to book, click on the Continue to the reservation page link on the hotel page.
On the secure booking form, we ask for your credit card details. Your credit card information is encrypted on its way to our server. For more information on why we require a credit card, please click here.
On the booking form, please ensure that your e-mail address is correct. If your e-mail address is incorrectly typed in, we will be unable to respond to your request.

When you submit the booking form, we will send you an e-mail acknowledgement immediately to confirm that we have successfully received your booking request.

What does the price of a room include?
The room rate covers one night's charge per night (and not per person). It includes also breakfast, local tax, and other taxes. There are very few hotels in our database, where hotel rate doesn't include tax or breakfast. On the pages of these hotels it is clearly indicated, so please read everything carefully, before you make your reservation to avoid future inconveniences. (It really affects only few hotels)
How long does it take to receive the confirmation?
After you submit hotel reservation request on our site you will
receive an email confirming that we have got your order.
*Note: this is NOT the final confirmation of the reservation! It is just a shorter form of your reservation details, which includes all important reservation data of the desired hotel, room(s), number of guests, total price. It does NOT include your credit card data! After we receive your request from you, we process the reservation and send you confirmation letter. Usually it takes about 1-3 days to confirm your request. It depends on several conditions: fair dates, hotel availability, alternative offer, holidays, etc. Anyway you'll be informed of possible delays.
I'm afraid to give my credit card details. What is your guarantee for transaction security?
When you provide us with information, such as your name, address, phone number, credit card information and room preference, your information is encrypted if transferred over a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) browser, available on browsers such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. The padlock icon on the lower right side of your screen will appear locked and the first characters of the Site address will change from "http" to "https" if you are accessing a secure server. Once information reaches us, we store it behind a secure firewall that blocks access to the information outside our server.
How can I cancel my reservation?
All cancellations must be made by e-mail.
Cancellation policies vary from hotel to hotel and usually refer how much notice you need to give to cancel your reservation without incurring a cancellation charge.
The cancellation notice is normally 72 hours before arrival i.e. You have to inform us of any cancellation 72 hours before the arrival date. If the cancellation is made after this time, the hotel may charge your credit card for the first night's accommodation.
What guarantees can you give?
We guarantee reservation in the hotel selected by customer if there is room available or an alternative if accepted by the customer. If reservation is successful we send you a confirmation letter by email. Client has the possibility to check the reservation at any time by calling the hotel.
Can I make a booking without a credit card?
Unfortunately - no. Hotels require a credit card number to secure a reservation. If the guest does not cancel the reservation within the cancellation notice period and does not arrive at the hotel, the hotel will or may charge the credit card for the first night's accommodation. Without a credit card the hotel risks being left with an empty room with no one to charge for it. Please refer to Cancellation Policy for more information.
When will my credit card be charged?
Once we have received your credit card details, we simply pass them on to the hotel, in order to guarantee / secure your booking. While the hotel has your credit card number, no immediate charge is made. Payment details are decided upon by the client upon arrival or departure at the hotel. In the event of a non arrival your credit card will/may be charged the day following the confirmed date of arrival.
What credit card details must I send?
We will require the type and number of credit card, valid expiration date and also full name of the credit card holder.
